Architectural Design Criteria Considering the Circular Economy and Buildability for Smart Disaster Relief Shelter Prototyping

The frequency of natural disasters is exacerbated by the escalating impacts climate change with need for effective relief shelters victims and displaced individuals. Providing accessible easy-to-assemble essential in addressing these needs. Due to climate-related challenges sustainable solutions, integration circularity principles shelter design has become imperative. Circular economy promote efficient use resources, minimising waste generation cost shelters. Moreover, a considerable number people usually suffer from homelessness, an increasing families live slums every part globe. All such are entitled be housed affordable, safe, appropriate at least several months after disaster until they can either rebuild their former houses or find somewhere decent settle recovering hardship. With aim investigating immediate housing needs disaster, this paper identifies factors that must taken into account during design. also presents prototype developed on basis theoretical criteria identified factors. paper’s main objectives were emergency circular principles, identify critical buildability shelter, present proposed smart acceptance model. methodology behind research involves conducting intensive literature review creating novel long-run laboratory work various iterations. details shows materials enhance according unique architectural strategy ‘reusing’ practice construction sectors. was workshop 6 reiterations using plastic water bottles, basic pipes, other reusable materials. Then, incorporating factors, set designed used as guide offered useful evaluate each factor’s importance In total, 51 designing constructing accommodation presented, clustered five groups: social–cultural, physical–technical, environmental, economic, organisational.
